Adding a background image to the worksheet
You can make your worksheets more appealing by choosing graphics file to serve as a background for a worksheet similar to the wallpaper that you may display on your Windows desktop.
To add a background to a worksheet, on the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, choose Background:
Excel displays a dialog box that enables you to choose a graphics file.
When you locate a file, click OK. Excel tiles the graphic across your worksheet. You also want to turn off the gridline display because the gridlines show through the graphic.
Some backgrounds make viewing text difficult, so you may want to use a solid background color for cells that contain text.
The graphic background on a worksheet is for on-screen display only-it isn't printed when you print the worksheet.
